My name is Aria and as of August 19, 2016 I will be living in Thailand for a year.  I am 16 years old and come from Canada.  I applied for the rotary exchange program because I wanted to experience a single culture instead of the melting pot of cultures I usually experience at home, and also to learn a new language and be immersed in that language.

I love languages, and plan to learn Spanish, Chinese, some variety of Gaelic, and German after I get good at Thai.  I am currently fluent in both English and French.

Another thing I love is reading.  My favorite authors are Brandon Sanderson and Patrick Rothfuss.  I also unicycle, crochet, sew, learn about math, and do a little bit of origami.

I am a huge nerd, and would like to spend all of my free time LARPing  (Live Action Roleplay-ing), reading, learning, or playing the firefly board game.
